It has been a while...
It has been a while since my last post. I am kind of busy.
I will resume posting as soon as I can decide what my next camera will be... the Canon 5D is very tempting with the recent price drop, yet I don't feel like carrying around a 2 lb. over-sized camera. I also need a small P&S and I am thinking about buying the Canon G9...

You already have your Pentax K10D and the various DA (and FA?) lenses, right? :-)
Well, also, how much the 5D is actually heavier than the K10D?
Yes, I am still using and enjoying the K10D and the Pentax Limited lenses. But I love to play with new cameras so...
As for the size and weight: 5d is 6x4.4x2.9 and 2lb and K10d is 5.6x4x2.8 and 1.7lb. Doesn't seem like a big of a difference, but the 5d feels definitively bigger in your hand.

The 5D is a great camera, no doubt about it. When adding lenses to it, it will be heavier than the K10 though. And it also lacks the sealing that I’ve come to like on the K10. The Pro Lloyd Chambers was also disappointed in the colour rendering from the 5D, (something that wasn’t a problem with the 1D series) :

But it is always great to follow Pro’s like you, and see what your experiences are with different systems.
The trouble with the Canon FF system, IMO, is that the fast primes do not have IS. I cannot use a 50 mm lens and shot at e.g. 1/8 of a second handheld, like it can be possible with my Pentax K10.
What I wanted to ask you, was regarding the DA 21 lmt. You mentioned that the DA 70 was really closer to f/2.8 than the claimed f/2.4 wide open. Does the same goes for the 21 lmt. that it might be 3.5 / 3.6 instead ?
(Sorry to see that RH has found your site, amazing how much time he has on his hands to use about Pentax.)

The max aperture on the DA 21mm seems to be accurate, as far as I can tell.
